LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Brock Smith threw three touchdown passes and ran for a fourth score to lead Liberty to a 73-34 win over VMI on Saturday. The 73 points scored fell just short of the Liberty record of 76 set against West Virginia Tech in 1995. Rashad Jennings ran for three TDs for the Flames (7-3, 3-0 Big South). Smith completed 11-of-14 passes for 246 yards, including first-half TD tosses of 6, 52 and 14 yards. He also had a 9-yard scoring run in the first quarter. Liberty jumped ahead ...
