Special to ESPN.com Thursday, November 8, 2007 It wasn't too long ago that the Southeastern Conference didn't have enough bowl-eligible teams to fulfill all eight of its bowl contracts. In fact, the SEC had a three-year contract with the bowl in Houston now known as the Texas Bowl, and never had an eligible representative. This season, the league might need the Texas Bowl and a few others. The SEC has nine bowl-eligible teams, the same number the conference had in 2000, 2001 and 2006.
