It's a ritual. Every year. The guys, the fellas, the mind squad, the crew, all congregate in the basement of my house. "Day One," we call it. The Jumpoff. There's nothing like a basement full of basketball "experts" and a fully stocked bar ("Patron Platinum, are you serious?!?") to kick-start another NBA season.
