Avs move up game time to accommodate NL playoffs

DENVER -- The Colorado Avalanche and the NHL moved the start of its game Sunday to 5 p.m. to accommodate the National League playoffs. The game against the San Jose Sharks at the Pepsi Center was moved up an hour, the Avs said, to allow sports fans to watch the Denver Broncos' kickoff against the San Diego Chargers at 2:15 p.m., the Avs-Sharks game at 5 p.m. and Game 3 of the Colorado Rockies' divisional series against the Philadelphia Phillies at 8 p.m. "This coming Sunday will be ...
