BOSTON (AP) -- Defenseman Pavel Kubina converted the only goal of a 14-shot shootout Saturday, giving the Toronto Maple Leafs a 4-3 preseason victory over the Boston Bruins. Boston goalie Tim Thomas had to touch only one of the first six shoots in the shootout -- with two hitting posts -- before Kubina walked in and scored on a backhander.
