ESPN.com Wednesday, August 29, 2007 Is the race to the Chase already over? NASCAR certainly didn't envision a tremendous lack of drama when it changed the Chase to include 12 drivers, instead of 10, before this season started. The idea was to not only include more superstars in the 10-event championship battle; it also was to give more (quasi-mediocre) teams a chance to flail away for the 12th spot. Ooops.
