There is a legendary story about one of the late Smokey Yunick's more infamous confrontations with NASCAR inspectors many years ago when they knew he was cheating on his fuel mileage. They were determined to catch him that day and spent a considerable amount of time dismantling his car's fuel system in their attempt to figure out where he was hiding extra fuel.
