The "just shut up" moment of the past week came Wednesday, when the Atlanta chapter president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, R.L. White, likened dogfighting to hunting. White was imploring the media to quit "piling on" former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. Friday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Vick indefinitely for his role in a dogfighting venture known as Bad Newz Kennels.
