As I wrote in the Monday blog about Brandon Webb and Johan Santana, I do believe a hot pitcher can carry a fantasy team to a championship, more than a hitter can. Nothing against Magglio Ordonez, Ryan Braun or -- gulp -- Garret Anderson, but the loss of Cole Hamels is devastating to fantasy owners. For those unaware, Hamels complained of elbow soreness before his last start in Washington, and again on Tuesday, and the Phillies wisely shut the ace lefty down.
