Dubois upsets Sugiyama, advances to second round at Rogers Cup

TORONTO (AP) _ Stephanie Dubois of Canada upset Ai Sugiyama of Japan 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5 Tuesday in the first round of the Rogers Cup. Dubois, ranked 115th, fired a tennis ball in delight into the stands at Rexall Centre after completing her victory against her 27th-ranked opponent.
