EXPN.com Sunday, August 5, 2007 Believe it or not, in the 1980s, when bike vert riding first became popular, it was the only other form of BMX freestyle besides flatland. There was no street. There was no park. There were only eight-foot tall, eight-foot wide quarterpipes, and flat ground. Really, you ask? Really. Back thenbefore the lights, camera, and actionthere was, simply, action.
