Crowd-pleasing Mirza tops Schnyder at Bank of the West

STANFORD, Calif. -- A huge draw in India, Sania Mirza is becoming nearly as big in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mirza beat fourth-seeded Patty Schnyder, 7-6 (2), 6-1, on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Bank of the West Classic in front of a largely Indian crowd.
