Thursday, July 19, 2007 North Carolina landed one of its most-wanted recruits when 6-9 forward Ed Davis (Richmond, Va./Benedictine) announced Wednesday for the Tar Heels over Virginia and UConn. He is rated among the top 25 players in the Class of 2008 by ESPN.com and could move up among the top five players overall once the summer evaluation period ends.
