Mueller rolls over Granados, advances to Palermo quarterfinals

PALERMO, Sicily -- Second-seeded Martina Mueller cruised to the quarterfinals of the Palermo International with a 6-2, 6-1 win Wednesday over Conchita Martinez Granados. It's only the second time this year that the 34th-ranked German has won consecutive matches. She will next face local favorite Flavia Pennetta of Italy, who defeated Edina Gallovits of Romania 6-3, 6-1.
