The free agent window opens at noon ET Sunday. At this point, and things can change very quickly, Sabres centers Daniel Briere and Chris Drury seem to be headed for the open market. On Wednesday, the Sabres offered Briere a five-year deal worth approximately $25 million. Briere turned it down. Interestingly, it was a similar offer to the one the Briere camp (led by CAA agent Pat Brisson) had suggested to Sabres management last summer before the sides went to arbitration.
