Sherdog.com Friday, June 22, 2007 SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Frank Shamrock returned to the form that saw him dominate mixed martial arts in the late 1990s, choking New York's Phil Baroni unconscious in front of 10,375 fans at the HP Pavilion. Shamrock, who announced afterwards that he fought with torn ligaments in his left knee, captured the Strikeforce middleweight world title at the four-minute mark of round two following a back-and-forth war that saw both middleweights hurt.
