Claxton birdies on 17th hole to preserve second Nationwide win

MITCHELLVILLE, Md. -- Paul Claxton became the first player to earn more than $1 million on the Nationwide Tour, winning the inaugural Melwood Prince George's County Open on Sunday to push his career total to $1,101,672. The 39-year-old former University of Georgia player has made 269 Nationwide Tour starts, also winning the 2001 Louisiana Open. "I'm very proud of what I've done.
