Yankees make contribution to Va. Tech fund

NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees made a $1 million contribution to the Virginia Tech "Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund" prior to playing the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday. The fund is designed to cover expenses like grief counseling, memorials and other costs for the victims and their families.
