The San Antonio Spurs ended up with the No. 1 pick and David Robinson. The Phoenix Suns got the No. 2 pick and were stuck with Armon Gilliam. In 1992, the Orlando Magic skipped ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the draft lottery, landing Shaquille O'Neal. The Wolves fell to third that year and got Christian Laettner.
