Belisle had never pitched more than six innings in any of his previous 100 appearances. The last pitcher to throw his first complete game after at least 100 outings, all six innings or less, was Kent Mercker, in his 185th career game for the Braves on April 8, 1994 -- a no-hitter at Dodger Stadium. • ...
