HOUSTON -- James Blake overcame some early struggles to beat fellow American Alex Kuznetsov 7-6 (4), 6-1 on Thursday in the second round of the U.S. Clay Court Tennis Championships. The second-seeded Blake was down a break in the first set before rallying to take the tiebreaker on a backhand approach shot up the line.
