That's right, Daisuke Matsuzaka made his first appearance in a spring training game for the Red Sox last Friday, facing that legendary band of sluggers, the Boston College Eagles. Dice-K allowed a double on his very first pitch, then retired the next six guys he faced, striking out three. I saw it, and frankly, it wasn't that impressive ... Activate your ESPN Profile!
