Atlanta Falcons: Ed Hartwell, who played in only 13 games in two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons after he signed a four-year, $26.25 million contract as a free agent in 2005, was released by the team on Friday. The Falcons released another veteran linebacker, Ike Reese. Hartwell had been plagued by injuries in his two seasons with the Falcons.
