Tuesday, February 27, 2007 EDMONTON, Alberta -- The Edmonton Oilers played their first game of the post-Ryan Smyth era and they looked as if they could have used their leading scorer back -- or maybe the guy whose number they retired. Curtis Joseph made 26 saves and the Phoenix Coyotes defeated Edmonton 3-0 on Tuesday after the Oilers retired Mark Messier's No. 11 and dealt away Smyth.
