NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Valdas Vasylius had 31 points and 12 rebounds to lead Old Dominion to a 96-82 win over Hofstra on Tuesday night. The Monarchs (20-7, 13-3 Colonial Athletic Association) led 45-40 at halftime, but Hofstra (19-8, 12-4) brought it to within 59-57 with 11:12 remaining in the game. Old Dominion was able to stretch its lead to 83-68 lead with 3:50 to play and the Pride could only get as close as 88-79 in the closing minutes.
