Bammer routs Maes to advance in Diamond Games

ANTWERP, Belgium -- Sybille Bammer of Austria won her sixth straight match, routing Caroline Maes 6-2, 6-0 Tuesday in the first round of the Diamond Games. Bammer is coming off the first title of her 10-year career, winning the Pattaya Women's Open on Sunday. Qualifier Virginie Razzano beat Anna-Lena Groenefeld 6-4, 6-1, and will face two-time defending champion Amelie Mauresmo on Thursday.
