HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) -- Victor Akinyanju hit a layup with 26.2 seconds left in overtime as Quinnipiac beat Long Island 73-71 Saturday in the first game played at the new $52 million TD Banknorth Sports Center. Akinyanju finished with 14 points and hit the winning basket on a feed from Adam Gonzalez, who scored 21 points for the Bobcats (8-10, 6-3 Northeast Conference).
