BOONE, N.C. (AP) -- Donte Minter scored 22 points to lead Appalachian St. to a 100-91 win over Western Carolina on Monday night. Davis Bowne and Kellen Brand added 20 points apiece and Demetrius Scott chipped in 16 for Appalachian St. (13-4, 5-1 Southern Conference). Jeremy Clayton pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds, and Brand went 3-for-4 from beyond the arc to score all of his team's 3-pointers. Appalachian St. led 53-36 at the break.
