GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Morris Almond had a double-double with a team-best 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Rice past East Carolina 64-47 on Saturday. Almond made five 3-pointers for Rice (8-7, 2-0 Conference USA), which led by as many as 25. Lorenzo Williams scored 17 points and Patrick Britton finished with 10.
