Special to ESPN Insider Friday, January 12, 2007 A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports: NHL • The Thrashers led the Devils 1-0 through two periods but New Jersey scored a pair of power-play goals 28 seconds apart in the third period to beat Atlanta 2-1. It was the fourth consecutive game in which the Thrashers took a lead into the third period but failed to win. (Atlanta is 0-2-2 over that stretch.)
