Friday, December 15, 2006 MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens on Friday acquired defenseman Mathieu Biron from the San Jose Sharks for defenseman Patrick Traverse. Traverse Biron Neither player has appeared in the NHL this season. Biron, 26, played in 52 games with the Washington Capitals last season, scoring four goals and 13 points. A first-round draft selection in 1998, the 6-6 Biron has 12 goals and 32 assists in parts of six seasons with Washington, Florida, Tampa Bay and the New York Islanders. T ...
