Hurting Panthers sign DB Strait

With starting cornerbacks Ken Lucas and Chris Gamble still battling injuries, and their status for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers uncertain, the Carolina Panthers have claimed veteran defensive back Derrick Strait on waivers. The much-traveled three-year veteran was released by the Chicago Bears.
