LA QUINTA, Calif. -- Rich Barcelo shot an 8-under 64 on Thursday in chilly conditions at PGA West to take a three-stroke lead over Australia's Paul Gow after the second round of the PGA Tour's 108-hole final qualifying tournament. Barcelo, who has reached the PGA Tour just once in eight previous qualifying tries, had a 9-under 135 total.
