LEXINGTON, Va. (ESPN.com news services) -- Reggie Williams scored 36 points and had nine assists as VMI shattered a days-old school record for combined points in a game by beating Southern Virginia 144-127 Monday. The two teams combined for 271 points -- the most ever in the school's history. It beat the previous mark of 251, set Nov. 15 when VMI beat Virginia Intermont 156-95.
