It seems that Maxim Afinogenov's hands are catching up with his feet. Since arriving on the NHL scene during the 1999-2000 season, the Buffalo winger has been one of the game's most explosive skaters. When I first saw him, as a member of Russia's gold medal-winning world junior team at the 1999 tournament in Winnipeg, his dynamic feet made him a man among boys.
