A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports: MLB  Suppan • Cardinals pitcher Jeff Suppan hit a home run off the Mets' Steve Trachsel to lead off the second inning Saturday night in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series. Suppan's only career home run in the regular season came off Trachsel in 2005.
