Now that the first month of the season is behind us, three story lines emerged heading into the first weekend of October. 1. The improved Big East: The much-maligned Big East is a better conference this year, top to bottom. After No. 4 West Virginia and No. 8 Louisville, the conference has Rutgers (5-0).
