Venus Williams wins first match since Wimbledon

LUXEMBOURG -- Venus Williams is apparently over her left wrist injury. The unseeded American, who has been sidelined since Wimbledon, upset sixth-seeded Ana Ivanovic 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of the Fortis Championships on Wednesday. Defeating the Serb for the second time in as many career meetings, Williams next will face Polish teen Agnieszka Radwanska. The 17-year-old Radwanska, who is ranked 95th in the world, also scored an upset on Wednesday, toppling Italian Mara Santangelo 5-7, 7-6 ...
