German Mueller reaches Slovenia Open quarters

PORTOROZ, Slovenia -- Fourth-seeded Martina Mueller of Germany played a strong baseline game Wednesday to defeat Renata Voracova of the Czech Republic 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 and reach the Slovenia Open quarterfinals. Mueller will next face eighth-seeded Tathiana Garbin of Italy. Garbin beat Emmanuelle Gagliardi of Switzerland 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
