I know the rules. I know ballplayers riding hot streaks don't like to hear the details. But hey, I messed up, I inadvertently violated the rules, and now I think Cla Meredith might think I jinxed him yesterday. Chris Young came up big for the Padres, and a late-inning pinch-hit may have prevent Meredith from forever thinking of me as bad luck. It may be that Meredith doesn't even recall our conversation.
