DALLAS (AP) -- Justin Willis completed 18 of 19 passes for 248 yards and five touchdowns and ran for another score as Southern Methodist beat Sam Houston State 45-14 on Saturday night. After they were outscored 59-9 in their first two games, SMU (1-2) recorded 443 yards of total offense and scored their most points at Gerald J. Ford Stadium since the venue opened in 2001.
