SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) -- Cal Poly held Division II Fort Lewis to 79 total offensive yards as the Mustangs won their opener 44-0 Saturday. Ernie Cooper rushed for touchdowns of 22 and 3 yards for Cal Poly in the first five minutes of the game. Teammate James Noble rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on nine carries for the Mustangs (1-0), ranked sixth in Division I-AA.
