Here's a quick look at the nation's best secondaries. 1. Miami Hurricanes No team in the nation has talent comparable with that Miami boasts at safety. Brandon Meriweather is the leader of the defense at free safety. He is a playmaker when the ball is in the air, and he also fills hard versus the run. Meriweather is the returning leader in total tackles (a career-high 115 a year ago) and interceptions (three).
