If a player doesn't have great speed or size, then he must have great quickness, and it is a huge bonus to have big-play ability as a returner in the kicking game if a receiver is undersized. For the most part at the college level, gone are the days of the "smurf" receiver who was drastically undersized with cat-like quickness.
