As though Jeff Tedford's offensive attack at Cal hasn't been potent enough, he decided in the offseason to add some "spread" elements, then quickly identified former Northwestern offensive coordinator Mike Dunbar as the perfect addition to his staff. Dunbar called the plays for Randy Walker during the past four seasons and last year, the Wildcats averaged more than 500 yards per game, fourth in the nation.
