ESPN.com Friday, July 7, 2006 Since 1992, the NFL has averaged almost 2.1 "rebound" franchises -- teams that qualified for the playoffs one season, missed them the next, but returned the year after. And in six of those 14 seasons, including three of the last four, there have been three such teams.
