Ladies and gentlemen, start your violins. I'm sitting in my kitchen. An airplane roars in the sky high above my roof. And I'm not on it. The Stanley Cup finals are under way. In the old days, the days when ESPN televised professional hockey, part of my job was to attend the final series. (My bosses won't let me say "Stanley Cup final" even though it is, in fact, a final.
