As expected, the June 1 salary cap casualty day passed without any big news. Only two veterans were cut -- Seahawks wide receiver Alex Bannister and Texans offensive lineman Matt Murphy. Murphy was making the NFL minimum salary and Bannister was making only $700,000. So neither player was released for cap reasons. The Seahawks didn't want Bannister to come to training camp and suffer another injury and miss the season. The former Pro Bowl special teams player has broken his collarbone three time ...
