Thursday, March 30, 2006 UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- The New York Islanders on Thursday signed center Ryan O'Marra, their 2005 first-round draft pick, to a three-year contract. O'Marra, 18, who helped lead Team Canada to win the World Junior Championships in December, will begin his professional career with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the Islanders' American Hockey League affiliate.
