ESPNdeportes.com Friday, March 17, 2006 SAN DIEGO -- Right-hander Francisco Cordero cannot play for the Dominican Republic in the semifinals of the World Baseball Classic because he does not carry an insurance that covers his participation in the tournament. The Texas Rangers closer traveled from Arizona to San Diego and took part in the Dominican Republic team practice on Friday. But he got word that he was prohibited from playing.
